Obviously this question is for those that kid about racism among friends. If you do not do this, then don't bother answering.

I have noticed that when a friend of mine makes a black joke he looks around and speaks very quietly. Not to say that I yell racist jokes out-loud, but I don't go to such great lengths either.
Michael Richards is also a celebrity; I'm not. So the negative effect won't be the same.

If you or your friends haven't got the balls to be racist out loud, who cares what you whisper to each other?
