I don't fear him but I respect him. We make fun of each other at work and chill blah blah blah.

But if I ever did anything horribly wrong I would tell him and expect an ass beating.

I don't fear him, but respect him and try not to piss him off. Though I would think he would ground me/take stuff away instead of beat me, which is worse IMO.
He's 6'8" and I'm 5'11" it would likely be no contest.

My dad would kick my ass if i got him really pissed (never tested the waters but hes pretty laid back most of the time). So yea my dad scares me. He also scares me with the shit he does, most notably when he showed me (AT THE AGE OF 7!!!) how to make a VERY powerful "IED" with a balloon and a cutting torch.

No. I'm much bigger than he is. Physically it isn't even a contest. He's got a couple of inches on me height wise but I have at least 30 lbs on him and I'm much stronger.

But, he's my dad and I damn sure respect him. Doesn't matter how bad things get when we disagree, I would never even dare lay a hand on him.

An acetylene bomb is hardly an "IED" or powerful.

I don't fear my dad but he was a police officer for 8 years and a corrections officer for 18, so I wouldn't fight him as he would kick my ass.

No, I'm not scared of my dad. He's a 60 year old cancer survivor who never gets angry at anything.

My mom, on the other hand... I'm fucking scared of pissing her off. She's not an angry person at all, we get along great, and we haven't gotten in a big argument in years, but that's because I learned my lesson.
