I’m writing this in defense of the Y!A members who were ignorantly belittled by an other member.
This member claims to be a Law student with a 3.65 GPA. I discovered after reading nasty responses he made to other members that he posted 4 questions, each only telling parts of his story. I’ve decided to put all the information together on one question & see what members have to say.

This gentleman was accompanied by 3 male relatives in their 20s. It was snowy/ice in December around 2:30 in the morning. All 4 men were intoxicated. One of whom was driving a motor vehicle (Mercedes Benz) They irresponsibly park the car on the side of the road due to the weather and exited the car. 300 feet from the car the 4 gentlemen began to get into an altercation. A police officer driving down the road observes the disabled car. After further review he notices the gentlemen arguing on the side of the road.

The officer pulls over & begins to question the gentlemen. He takes each one aside to question them about the disabled vehicle & about the altercation. 1 of the gentlemen refuses to speak with the officer or even make eye contact & presents with characteristics of someone who is on drugs.

The officer takes all 4 gentlemen in. They remain in jail for 10 hours & then are released after being cited for DUI, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace. The gentleman that refused to speak began to have high anxiety with an increasing rate. He requests to see a Dr & it is granted. The Dr. confirms that what he claims is true.

The gentleman neglects to tell the officer that he is on medication for ADD. (Which you are advised not to drink any alcoholic beverages while taking the medicine. Side Effects anxiety, high blood pressure, hallucinations)

After the event the gentlemen sought counseling in which he was told he was stuffing from PSTD. The gentleman asked the Y!A community if he could sue the police. He made no claims that the police mistreated him or his relatives in any way or did he make any derogatory remarks or facial expression. He claimed that he was wrongfully profiled by the way that he looked & by his last name. He explained that he looks foreign (even though the officer couldn’t tell until he exited his vehicle to question the gentlemen) & that his last name is Muslim. The event also caused him to suffer from PSTD.
He wants to sue for Racial & Religious Profiling & for the police causing his PTSD.

So please tell me your thoughts & opinions strictly on the story so that this gentleman may see that we are intelligent whether or not we have a college degree, going to grad school, have a 3.65 GPA or drive a Mercedes Benz.

smarter? can't tell from this. though on may wonder why that matters. nor would his intelligence matter at all. he's pissed off, blames the cops, and figures suing them is a good way of getting back and making money at the same time, as they'd most likely settle to avoid a large public trial. in short, he's an ass. the world is full of them, smart, dumb, and everything in between
