...discover something like that? Ok... so I have bumped into many files that have these kinds of things in Ares while downloading other kind of stuff. Every time I got a file of this nature I would just delete it after a very log ewww and move on but a few months later I heard about the new law in Canada that says that ISPs are now responsible for reporting users who posses this kind of material. I thought about reporting all this to the police and went to the website to do so but they ask the date and some other stuff that I don't remember! Like I said I didn't even keep the files! I also thought that maybe nothing is gonna happen to me since the last time I used Ares and I bumped into this kind of stuff was many weeks before this law was active. Also, I heard this guy on tv said that "maybe this law will scare those evil people who got stuff like this before and would prevent them from doing it again" ..so does that mean that nothing is gonna happen unless this stuff happened to me after the law was active? I read about this guy who got caught for having accidentally downloaded this kind of stuff... and he is facing 20 years! Ok now I'm scared as hell! The internet service is under the name of my dad and it would be horrible if he got blamed for it! or if I got blamed for it! I just don't know what to do! I also heard that the police takes your computer when you report something like this! What the... I mean I need my computer! ...I think I got into a big mess now. I don't have that kind of stuff in my computer, I don't like that disgusting stuff... heck I was even abused when I was a child too so why in hell would I like all that crap?! ... I seriously don't know what to do, I wanted to sell my laptop so I could get a new one but if the police ask me for it what am I suppose to do? Really is this law even fair? .. Am I even get going to get arrested or anything? ....Any advise? Thank you guys
