...However, I cannot decide where to go.? I cant decide if i want to join the Marine Corps and just train emergency medical on the side, or if I want to directly go in as a Corpsman through the Navy.

I do not want to be trained differently just because I am female. I also dont want some cushy desk job. My original intent was to join the Army and become a combat medic- I would LOVE to do frontline medical-

What would be the best route for this to be accomplished? Navy or Just training on the side through the Marines?
I do know that the Marines do not have a medical MOS, my recruiter made that very clear to me. I'd be in school for emergency medicine and combat life saving tactics if I joined the Corps. I would be gaining credits and probably faster promotions- but would end up using less if not 0 of that knowledge.

I guess, my question is which is a better route to go? Does the navy have anyone who travels with the Marines in front line or is it all on boats?

Marines do not have any medical positions. Marine health care is provided by the Navy. If you can get a position as a Navy Corpsman, then from what I understand this is an awesome job for anyone interested in medical.

I don't know how you could accomplish being a Marine and then doing emergency medical on the side. Being a Marine (active duty) will keep you busy enough.

In any branch, you won't be trained "differently" because you are female. There are certain jobs not available to you, but health care jobs are not amongst those. As an Army Medic or Navy Corpsman, you would be held to the same standards as males.
