I am shopping last minute for a dress to go to an evening wedding. I bought a satin, strapless flowing coctail dress. It does not show any cleavage whatsoever. It comes only 1/2-1 inch from my knee so it is not too short...but a tiny bit shorter then traditional guest attire.
Is this going to be ok if I pair it with colored heels and a lot of jewelry?
I've read so many internet articles on this tonight and am confused. Most say wear darker colors at evening weddings, coctail dresses, and that black is perfectly fine. Some said NOT to wear strapless dresses, and others actually showed strapless dresses to wear. Whats everyones oppinion? I have a back up purplish dress that I know is safe...
Oh and the dress is black btw

Sounds fine, make sure you have a shawl/sweater/cardigan to wear in church.

I think that the strapless black dress will be fine. Especially if you wear bright heels with it! Try like red or blue ;]
Make sure you don't over do the jewlary though.
Also if the wedding is outside make sure you bring a sweater or something just in case it gets cool (depending on where you live, I don't know soo... you might need one).

Good luck! I'm sure you'll look fabulous!

the dress is fine but do not wear lots of jewelry
wear a pearl necklace, it's classic and not distracting
the heels are fine.
