AT&T blackberry 9700 with Tmobile question!!?!? help?

i Found a blackberry 9700 bold from at&t and i want to unlock it to use it with tmobile. Im wondering im going to be able to use 3g tmobile speed if i unlock this phone? i dont want to use edge but supposely the tmobiles version of the bold has the same frequencies but im not sure? so if i unlock it witll i only be able to use edge? i wont have 3g?
