My supervisor is known for being blunt and lately has been venting on people in my department including myself. This is probably due to the fact that we are being outsourced soon.
Meanwhile, I suddenly have been notified that I have a very important appointment that I have to be at in the middle of the day on an upcoming Friday. It is "Personal." If I ask for the time off, she will prod me to find out what it is for, and then judge it and throw her two cents in. The fact is that the following Monday I have a medical procedure that I am taking the day off for as well. She is not happy about that either. But these are not things I can blow off.
Whether she likes it or not, I HAVE to be at these two things. She doesnt know about Friday yet. How should I tell/ask her?
