Atheists if evolution is true, why fish evolved in fish stick and not in mermaids?

Because fish sticks are not aerodynamic so they have difficulty to escape from predators, so if there is so much of them in the sea it's the proof God created them to fill grocery stores for the convenience of humans.

If evolution was true we should find a lot of mermaid fossils who is the missing link between human and fishes.
