Audi A4 brights won't turn on?

I bought a 2007 Audi A4 last spring, and I still can't figure out how to turn the brights. I've tried flicking the switch or whatever backwards and frontwards, but the brights won't stay on. They'll flick on for a second, but they turn off as soon as I let go of the switch. I have to sit there and hold the switch towards me without letting go just to keep the brights on. It's quite annoying. Any help?

I've never had an Audi before so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or if it's just broke. Idk?
