Audi Q5 or Infiniti EX35 for an 18 year old daughter?

Hi guys, my daughter is turning 18 in 2 weeks, shes a senior in High School school getting ready for a new life at college next May. We would like to gift her a car for her Birthday and as part of an early graduation gift aswell. Most of her friends where given cars in 10th grade but I chose not to buy her a car till 12th grade, I wanted her focused. Me and my husband have been looking into a couple Certified Pre-owned Compact SUV's, one of them being a 2009 Audi Q5, Im looking for a reliable & safe compact SUV. What is your take on the Audi Q5, would you recommend this vehicle? We test drove it yesterday, without her of course and we thought it was fantastic, we also looked at a couple X3 SUVs but I didnt quite like it so much, however another SUV I liked was the 2010 Infiniti EX35 I thought it was a very nice & safe SUV, I was probably sold more due to its saftey features I thought they where very impressive however the Audi Q5 has a nicer design in opinion. Are there any other suggestions?? Pros and cons of these vehicles? Thanks guys your help is appreciated!!
