I mean the island was technically closer to New Zealand supposedly, so why couldn't have they been in Auckland? I guess they probably didn't want people who can't pronounce E properly...
Anyhow, you can't deny that importance of Australia in Lost, there is a larger than usual amount of Australian characters in the show (not sure if they are all or at all Australian actors) and also in the earlier seasons, most of the flashbacks previous to the flight were in Australia since that's where they caught the plane.
I am annoyed how yet again they used Sydney, I mean its the most famous city, but Melbourne and Adelaide and even Perth are alright cities, why always Sydney? Its not that great.
I mean, I know the excuse of the networks not allowing it probably because Sydney is all Americans think about when they think Australia, but it could be the very producers who could turn that all around.
So why not stop by some other cities?
