Avoiding humour.....................................?

I do not like the use of humour. If I'm talking to a person I avoid humour. It's not because I fear how I look if I use humour or that I fear what they think of me, but it's more how I feel if I were to use humour. I personally believe the use of humour is pathetic - and I wouldn't like the way I would feel if I were to use humour. I am a confident man, age 31, I do not have any insecurity issues.

I'd like some explanations as to why I choose to avoid humour when talking to people.

Well that is just your personality, there is nothing wrong with that.

Maybe you were brought up with no humour or maybe you just prefer to be more serious...
