"Staring blankly ahead, I attempted to keep my composure when I heard a knock at my door. Dad was here – he had to be. No doubt the cops had called him by now and told him what I’ve done. Usually the consequences for things like this seemed brutally severe when first delivered, but in a few days he would either forget or act like he’s such a great father for giving me a second chance to prove myself. That’s what always happens, but this time was different. For once in my life, I had no idea what to expect from him. I had a feeling it wouldn’t be good.
Taking a deep breath, I made my way to the front door as my 5 year old beagle followed closely at my heels. There was a soft click as I unlocked it and a gentle creak as it opened. Surely enough, there he stood holding an expensive briefcase that matched his five thousand dollar business suit – his way of showing he’s above everyone else.
“Hi dad,” I said.

I don't know. It sounds a little off to me or something, but that may be b/c I haven't written anything in a long while. By the way, if you've seen this before, it's b/c someone's trying to steal it. >:-(

Soooo...comment and critique please? Thank ya!

^-^

You are a really awesome writer.
It's interesting because for some reason, most pieces I've read on here lack that special "oomph" that I see in writing. I think what it is is that a bunch of people try making their piece of writing sound poetic and over-worded. This is awesomely-put, in my opinion. A few grammatical mistakes but you are really talented. Don't know if I'd really continue reading, but your writing is great. Didn't sound weird at all.

Good Luck!

I love it!!!!!! But if I was critique something it might be that you can leave out that the dog is 5...... It sounds kinda funny.... but other than that i want to read the whole thing!!!!

This is really good. I wouldn't try to go too overboard with the whole, "rich dad" thing. So many people are overdoing that in books. I really would love to read more of your story.

I hope this helps! :)
