My buddies Snap-On reader says the ECM is bad but everything else reads fine. It's a dealer only item that costs over $700. The truck has been running fine for over 1000 miles since the light came on. Should I worry? Can I have the current one flashed and it will work right again? Help....I don't have $750 plus labor.

Never in my life have I heard of a scanner saying the computer was bad. Sounds like you need to get a Professional opinion (not autozone).

I don't know that model. How exactly did it say / tell / let you know it was bad? Mine cost a good chunk of change but i still have to diagnose the problems, it only give me codes and data. Do you have any codes to go by that we can help you with?

Disconnect the battery for a few minutes - reconnect and get it scanned again - by a different scanner and see if you get the same results.
