bad sexual behaviour.?

My dog, who is 4 years old has recently taken to humping every dog he sees. He has been castrated, and I cannot understand why he has suddenly started doing this. He's not too fussy either, male or female.He's a flat coat retreiver x collie. Any suggestions?

It's strictly a dominance issue, not at all sexual. Maybe he's not getting enough exercise. Maybe he's bored and frustrated and needs something to do - obedience, agility, rally, herding, tracking, something. You've got a dog who's a cross between a herding dog and a retriever - they need something to do. Why not start with obedience before some dog gets in a scrap with him because of his bad behaviour.

It is a dominance issue with dogs that exhibit this behavior. Keep him on a lead and correct him when he even starts this behavior
