Bar optics work with those bottles that have plastic security tops?

Having a debate and i am convinced you must be able to get bar optics that work with those bottles that have the tamper proof plastic tops in them. My friend says the only way you can do it is to remove the plastic top which i find hard to believe! If anyone knows more about this then do please help us clear this up. If you know of optics that do work with the plastic security tops and you have a link that would be most appreciated.
