BCT physical fitness?

I can do about 35 push ups and 50+ sit ups. My mile is somewhere near the 8:15 mark. I know I can pass the initial PT test, and hopefully towards the end of BCT I will be able to get in my 42+ push ups and speed up my mile.

Am I grossly behind what the other people enlisting with me can do? I'm just 9 days from shipping and I guess the nerves are getting to me. I know I have enough personal strength to get through BCT I just don't wanna be that guy the DS is on all the time and smoking the rest of the men for my failures.

Im leaving for Basic training in 9 days myself, Fort Benning GA what is your MOS, where you going?

and no you are fine, your pt will get much better when you are in. your higher than a lot of people going in

Dont worry about it too much man, you'll be just fine. BCT is meant to get you into shape. However, the less physically fit you are coming into BCT, the harder its going to be for you. You seem to be pretty average and shouldnt have too much trouble. You definitely wont be the worst physically fit person there, thats for sure. As long as you dont draw too much attention to yourself the DI's will leave you alone for the most part. The thing they really want to see is that you are trying your hardest. If they see you slacking or not putting out, thats when they will be pissed and get in your face. Good luck!
