Beach vacation with period?

I'm heading down to the beach on the 13th and will be there for 3 days. Last month i got my period on the 16th, but my period hasn't been regular for the past two months, varying about 5-7 days. I'm nervous i'll get it during my vacation and I'm not used to tampons. What should i do? I'm willing to try tampons, but how often do i have to change them? My flow isn't that heavy and lasts about 3-4 days. Please help!

Well once you get in the water it'll stop, but until then. I think if you wear a tampon while in the water, you'd be good. It's just before you get in and after that you'd need the tampon.

Hello! Okay tampons are no BIGGIE! I'd buy playtex gentle glide, their easy to insert and take out. It did leak on me once, but that was my first day...and it was heavyish.
1. relax
2. insert at an angle! important!!!
3. leave in up to eight hours any more and you may get TSS
