I have a male friend we have know each other for about a year but lately hes been talking to me more
he says he always liked me from day one makes promises to do favors that never happen
When he talks to me he insults me uses little put downs about my clothes or my appearance or says i havnt done any housework He says im sxxt he always plays it down saying its banter
It offends me ive just come out of an abusive realtionship and my ex would say the most evil things and tell me to take it with a pinch of salt. We do have a laugh and banter at times but what he does goes beyond that
My friend doesnt seem to care what ive been through its made me self concious and unsure of myself cos my ex would make the same judgements and critiscisms .It angers me that he knows what my ex did but walks in to my home and behaves in the same manner .
My friend has never had a LTR he shows signs of having a controlling personality as soon as he walks in my home he demands i put kettle on he wont let me smoke until he leaves even when i smoke outside he smokes weed but tells me smoking is a filthy habit he said your not going for a fag you can have one when i leave and no he isnt joking. When i had my male friend over he asked his name and went on facebook to check up on him.
He lies about things like one minute he slept with 5o women i said thats appaling and he said ok 100
Im so confused over his behavior im not even sure if i want him as a friend
cos im at rock bottom and he is pulling me down i have no confidence as it is and when he says certain things it just brings back horrible memories .I start counselling next week
Is this harmless behavior do i take things to seriously
my head is such a mess ? I dont no what to make of it
I called him a control freak which i dont think went down well .He is very popular everyone says how nice he is and all his previous realtionships ended cos he was doing all the work
