Bell boots in dressage show?

because it's dressage...lol

I'm kidding, but it's just part of the FEI and USEA rules

--- they could influence the way your horse moves and/or cover up a defect---

I didn't know and almost got disqualified for having bit guards on my loosering the first time I went to an event (not bit burrs, just guards)

same kinda thing--- hope that helps

Boots or wraps of any type are not allowed in the dressage ring.

bell boots and any sort of leg protection is not allowed in hunters or dressage because it is based alot on the way the horse moves etc and the boots can cover up or even "help" improve the way thr horse may do something. usually not the case...but it can/has been before.

in eq. jumpers. XC, boots are allowed (no bell boots in eq) for protcetions and because it is no longer based on the horse as much.

eq. i based on the riders execution of the course so the horse is allowed to.
and like the person above me said...it is the rules.
