Sorry to be your first reply even after all this time... but if you happen to check this forum again and find this I hope it is helpful.
the "Bell G3 SAS Full Metal Airsoft AEG Rifle" was my first AEG; it is durable, powerful, and surprisingly cheap gun.
To start off, this gun is extremely reliable. I used it for countless hours of play, and it never jammed on me once! It is also primarily metal, inside and out. It has a metal gear box and a metal clam-shell style body. This means it is simply 2 halves glued together in a factory, nevertheless it has never become inoperable due to a break, and trust me i DONT take good care of it. My point is its SUPER durable and will NOT break unless you really want to break it. (only two exceptions to this is the plastic muzzle flash hider, and the strap attachment ring on the rear of the gun, and neither are worth a damn anyway).
In most instances online retail sites will tell you the gun is 300- 315 fps. Even though i have not chronied it i do NOT believe this and would stick it more around 370. which is enough to really hurt the skin, and it helps that the rate of fire is absolutely insane, but again. i have no real statistics here.
Before you buy however, there are a few things i gotta warn you about.
1. this gun is small and heavy, if you are under 9 years old, or cant lift a snickers bar or something, this gun might be a bit much for you. (my friends 11 year old bro uses this gun all the time so its fine really i guess) just a warning
2. Some online stores will post this gun around $140. this is BULLSHIT, i have found this gun online for $60 and i bet you can too. if you find a deal at say. $89.99 and its in stock though, buy it. very good buy.
3.some people who are new to airsoft assume that all airsoft guns are accurate if there over $40. this is not true as this gun has very little accuracy at all. if used on semi auto this gun can probably hit a chest 100 feet away sure, but as soon as you start spraying bullets, (and i dunno why) it gets SUPER inaccurate (of course if they arent in cover they gonna get hit anyhow due to the rape rate of fire!).
OK TO SUM IT UP! GREAT FUCKIN GUN! BUY IT FOR LESS THAN $100.
ADVANTAGES= DURABLE. RATE OF FIRE. FPS(375 in my opinion)
DISADVANTAGES=INACCURATE, HEAVY(if you cant lift a potato)
p.s i suggest you buy an extra battery because this battery goes pretty quick
sorry for the double post, but i wanna add real quick that you NEED .2s for this gun. i suggest you use .2 gram airsoft BBs for any AEG but this gun in particular has a lot of natural hop up, therefore your gonna need heavier ammo.
