Ben Roethlisberger was enjoying the healthiest season of his career. However, that ended on Monday night. In the third quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs, the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a shoulder injury and was forced out of action.
Before he left the game, Roethlisberger was 9-for-18 for 84 yards and a touchdown pass. After he got hurt, Byron Leftwich was given the reins.
Roethlisberger is a tough quarterback so it’s worrisome that he left this game. He shoulder could be seriously hurt. Then again, his toughness will likely be able to get him back on the field quicker.
If he misses any time, expect Leftwich to continue to be the Steelers quarterback.
