best 8 seater car/SUV/cuv not a MINI VAN?

i need a new or used car for my family we want a 8 seater crossover or SUV i want good mpg and just a all around great vehicle I'm looking to cheep but nothing over $20,000 i will be taking out a loan so anything cheaper the better thanks any opinion works thanks i was also thinking of leasing so any ideas there as well thanks again

Definitely the Chevy Traverse. The only problem is that a new one is about $29k, but you can probably get a pre-owned one for just a bit over $20k. If you wait another year, there should be plenty of pre-owned ones on the market for less than $20k.

Personally, I've always loved the Chrysler Pacifica. You can get them with a 3rd row seating so you can fit 8 people in it legally. Also, you can get an 07-08 with low mileage all leather and fully loaded for probably about $15g...or less depending on your haggling skills.
