Best Book for an Introduction to Aristotle?

I really want to have a better understanding of the teachings of Aristotle, especially his teachings on metaphysics as well as his teachings on categories and on logic. But when I try to read through his writing, his style is so compact and his vocabulary so loaded that it is like trying to move through thick brush. I found some help when I discovered Aquinas' commentary on the "Posterior Analytics," but even this work depends on a lot of concepts and vocabulary from earlier writings.

Could anyone recommend any really good books or other resources for giving a modern, easy-to-understand explanation of the teachings of Aristotle? If I could grasp some of the more basic concepts, perhaps my personal study of his writings would be more productive.
