Best Crossover SUV for me?

Ok so it's not really for me but my mom. I'm looking to buy her a Crossover for her Business (cleaning houses). The best one I've seen so far have been Equinox/Terrain.
Specs: Good MPG, crash test, reliability, roomy, and up to date electronics (GPS back up cam hook ups). As for pirce I would like to stay under 28,000ish.
Also I've heard that used car trade-ins are in high demand is this ture?
