Best friend told me she is bisexual?

She occasionally has oral and kisses her friend, a girl. I'm the only other person who knows and she knows I'm straight. I have nothing against bisexuals though and I'm just wondering why she told me and also more background info about bi people? I want to continue to be her friend.

My guess would be that she feels comfortable with you. She is able to tell you and you do not pass judgment upon her as most or many individuals within society would do. I don't think she was making a pass at you; due to her frankness in telling you she would have simply came out with it. It probably feels good to be able to let out the "big secret" and not be judged for it or made to feel as though something is wrong with her. We all need to know we have someone we can trust to share our inner most feelings and secrets and not though differently for them even if they are different from our views. You have probably given her an outlet to release something that she has been wanting to share with someone however not being able to. Kudos to you!
