The 2011 NFL Draft is over. It was a rather awkward affair considering that NFL lockout. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was routinely booed. The drafted players had a tough time answering questions due to the lockout. And teams couldn’t exactly begin teaching their draft picks the basics since contact will be barred. That said, here are the best picks of the 2011 NFL Draft.
1. Da’Quan Bowers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Due to issues surrounding a knee injury, Da’Quan Bowers fell to the Bucs in the second round. But if he’s healthy, he could actually be the best player of the draft.
2. Nick Fairley, Detroit Lions
In college football last year, Nick Fairley was the game’s most dominant player. Getting him at 13 was great value for the Lions.

3. Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals
Even though there was a quarterback run early, the Bengals didn’t panic. As a result, they were able to land Andy Dalton in the second round.
4. Prince Amukamara, New York Giants
Although the Giants didn’t have a strong need for a cornerback, grabbing Prince Amukamara at 19 was a steal.
5. Nate Irving, Denver Broncos
A survivor of a horrible car accident, Nate Irving is a proven fighter. The Broncos nabbing him in the third round will be looked at in awe in the coming years.
