Okay on April 1st I got my betta fish, and brought him home and put him in a betta bowl. I realized that he didn't seem happy and he wasn't eating much so I got him a 1 gallon tank with air bubbler, under gravel filter and a light. I moved him into it today and he seems more active, swimming around going into the little castle and swimming around the fake plants.
But he is still not eating much. So far I've tried feeding him betta pellets, betta flakes, and frozen blood worms. I put in a decent amount of blood worms and only saw him eat a very small piece. Also he's been puffing up his front gills. He did it the first 2 days I had him and now he's doing it again.
His tank is right next to my computer and he is still swimming around.
How can I get him to eat?
Also please don't lecture me about how a one gallon tank is too small for any fish, my friend had a betta in pretty much the same tank and it lived for over 2 years. Anything is better than the cups they're in in the pet store
Should I be turning off the air bubbler when I feed him?
thanks
