I've always wondered this about boxing since the fights were always at least 6 months apart, and now in MMA fights seemed to be getting spaced out further and further apart. In baseball, basket ball, football, and soccer, the games occur weekly, so it's a lot easier to determine how their next performance will be. A fighter can go train for 6 months and come back a totally different athlete. What is the inside track - can you follow what's going on in the gyms?
