Hi I'm in college and I brought my bike up to school. Most of my classes are close and I like walking so I haven't even used it once. However my roommate asked if she could use it, so I said yes as long as she promised to lock it up. After a few weeks she broke my handlebars, but promised to fix it, so I said it was fine, but she never got around to it. Then when I was out of town one day, she called and asked if one of our mutual friends could borrow it and I felt bad so I said yes. Three days ago she mentioned that my bike had been gone for a while and she asked if i had put it somewhere else. I haven't touched it all year and now its gone! She promised that she always locked it up, but I'm still so mad. I feel like if the situation was reversed I would offer to help look for it or offer to pay since she had been using it all year. All I know is that I lent it to her and her friend and now it's gone. Here's the kicker, she just brought her own bike back from home two weeks ago, so she's all set! I use my bike a lot in the summer and bikes aren't cheap and my dad lost his job last year so I can't ask him to buy me a new one. What do I do? Should I ask her to help pay or should I get over it?!? HELP!! thanks
