Bit-torrent download of Rosetta Stone?

A friend of mine gave me a couple cd's with a program he burned. My understanding is that you often have to download some sort of "conversion" software to use bit-torrents in general? At the very least, my disc doesn't seem to be working. It looks like the file types (extensions) are .rsd

What do I have to download to get this to work? Thanks!
