Blackberry apps won't work! Help?

Ok so i've had my BB Curve for 5 days today. On the first day my facebook and twitter apps worked FINE! After that.....NOTHING! When i try twitter it says "Local connection timed out after-120000"
When i try facebook it says "We cannot reach the Fcaebook sever at this time. Please try again later. (100)"
Now i've been told that they only work if you have credit.......but you're supposed to have the 1st 3 months FREE!! >:/
I'm on vodaphone Ireland by the way.
HELP!! I was so excited about getting a blackberry.....but now i'm starting to HATE on it :(
 
when they say the first 3 months free i think your meant to load it with credit first to activate the 3 months free! go into your bb settings and see if you have a bb internet booster switched on
