Blackberry owners!!! Is the price worth it?

Okay so two weeks ago, I dropped my LG rumour (the original one) in a glass of lemonade which is kind of depressing, but also good becasue I'm in desperate need of a new phone anyway. So I was looking at them and I saw the blackberry curve. The price is normally 50 dollars a month, but if I go with the student plan (the only differance is you can only go on websites like facebook and twitter and I have internet on my ipod so it's not really a big deal) it's only 40 dollars a month which is 15 dollars more than my old plan. Is it worth the extra money every month?? It's a three year plan by the way. Do you think I'll regret getting the blackberry down the road?? By the way, it's like 25 dollars to buy (and then the 40 a month) and it's with bell. Is bell good? I was with virgin before, but it's a better deal with bell. Can I still keep my phone number if i switch to bell?
