Blackberry Pearl 8100: Connecting DR-BT21G Sony Bluetooth Headset?

Hi there i have just recently brought the DR-BT21G Headset and i am having trouble connecting it to my phone (Blackberry Pearl 8100) i have added it as a device everything is turned on and when i play a song it still plays out of the mobile speakers. anyone have any suggestions on how to get it to work?
