I've had my BB 8703e for about 3 yrs now. I recently upgraded to the new BB 9530 (Storm) and want to know if I can use my original BB 8703e battery on the new BB9530 without damaging the new phone? I would not be using it as the primary battery - but as a 2nd battery for when traveling.
BB's site CLEARLY states to only use BB compatible batteries as 2nd batteries or you may damage the phone (ie wrong voltage, etc) - but nowhere can I find if the 8703e battery is compatible with the 9530.
Was hoping to find maybe a BB Tech guy on Y! who could answer for me so I dont have to call BB and pay $150 just to find out if the battery is compatible with new phone
