I have a BB Pearl

I DO NOT HAVE THE DATA PLAN, BUT I DO HAVE THE 400 TEXT MSG PLAN FROM T-MOBILE

If i text someone, or they text me, are they taking DATA and charging me extra $$$ or are they taking it off of my SMS text messaging plan
