Bleeding between periods?

Can this be linked? Im scared to death it may be cancer, I am 22 never had a smear, and for the past 2 mths I have bled between periods. I know its not right but I don't want to make a big thing out of it I don't bleed every day its just now and again. I have also on the last two blood tests shown that I have low platelets but on the last one about 6 mths ago it said border line which the dr said is ok. Is it ok? I know you will prob say get to the dr but any advice on here is good please? I am slightly worried?

try not to worry, but go and get a appointment with the gp good luck x
