bleeding from the ear?

my mom is 59 and she she is known to be depressed because of my brothers death and she recently stuck a cotton swab in her ear and noticed that there was dried blood on it she says that it feels like her ear is bigger than the other and she thinks it happens at night when she's sleeping.

GO TO THE ER NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she could have bleeding inside her brain or inside head. GO NOW!!!!!!

and yes, she should definitely go see a doctor.
