blu-ray disc?

if i play a blu ray disc in a regular TV will it have a better picture quality then a regular dvd?

No blu ray which is a high definition picture can only be seen and appreciated on a high definition tv. Your normal tv will only have about half the amount of lines a high def tv will have therefore youll see no improvement. Also all blu ray players have a type of cable connection to the back of the tv called an HDMI. Only current High def TVs have this connection so youll probably find it very hard to connect to an older tv. Altho u can connect through component cable but will not be true high definition.

The only way of playing and getting better quality
from a DVD is by using HDmi,high definition in
my opinion is by this format and not Blue ray.
PS it even enhances ordinary DVD`s
