Got a new TV and Blue-Ray today...managed to hook up the TV, but I cannot get the Blue-Ray to work using the HDMI cable OR the audio/video cable. The instructions seem pretty straightforward - plug the HDMI cable in the back of the Blue-Ray, then plug it into one of the HDMI jacks on the TV. After that, go to the correct HDMI input mode on the TV. But when I go to the right input on the TV, nothing happens. It just says "No signal."

Anyone have any advice? The Blue-Ray is Panasonic, and the TV is a Vizio. Everything else on the TV is working - the internet, etc... I also have a digital cable box - is anything from the Blue-Ray suppose to plug in there?

Any help is super appreciated! I am basically electronics-impaired.
Thanks for the input....and spelling tip : )

The TV has four input jacks - I have tried all of them. The Blu-Ray is on and has a "set up" display on it. I thought that there may be something wrong with the cord itself, but I can't get anything using the audio/video cable either. I have gone through every possible input selection on the TV, but nothing.

On some Blu Ray players, the initial set-up has to be done in either the composite or component mode. Use the cables that came in the Blu Ray box. After you set-up the Blu Ray player through the menu, it should work on HDMi just fine.

I think the Vizios have 2 HDMI jacks. HDMI1 and HDMI2. Make sure you have the right one selected for the jack you have the cable plugged into.
