bmw 318i convertible door fault?

i have a bmw 318i convertible (m reg) and i know that when you open a door the window drops a little and the interior light comes on but when i open the passenger door the interior lght stays off and the window doesnt drop. i can even open it with my alarm on and it wont trigger the alarm. what do i have to do to fix it?
is it something in the door panel i can change or replace?

its probably a bad connection with another wire, or a fuse
