Hi right i have a bmw e39 1998 523i se, a few days ago the water pump bearing broke and the that broke the fan belt that then broke the pulley.
So i replace the water pump, fan belt, and pulley
So im topping up the coolant and i have done all the right stages that other people have suggested, and the car is now not overheating and the temp is fine, im getting great heat through the blower.
BUT i seem to be getting large amounts of pressure building up in the hoses still.
is this just air in the system still. or am i looking at a head gasket!!!!!
btw there is no other head gasket symptoms the car runs smoothly and no smoke or water on oil cap.
