Feb 21, 2009 #2 J Jess Member Joined May 13, 2008 Messages 983 Reaction score 0 Points 16 No!!! as long as you are using a bmx chain then it should be compatible with your new sprocket. however if you are running a 28t sprocket a 9t driver should be used to keep a similar gear ratio.
