bodybuilding is risky for heigth growth ?

i am 16 yr now , n my height is 5 foot and 10 inches .. my weight is 68 KG .. i started gym now but somewhere i heard that weightlifting is risky for height growth .., is it true ?? but i never lift more than 30 KG
 
Yes it does affect your height growth, or it results in stunted growth, that's what most people say when I ask them the same thing... This is the time when the body grows naturally according to your lifestyle, so there's no need for gym. You should join a gym when you're 18 or over, that is when the body has generally reached its full potential. Considering your age, i think you have almost reached your final height, but i'm not sure as i dont know you. If you have good muscles, continue bodybuilding, cause maybe that means you'll not grow more. But dont trust me, as you may grow a few inches/cms more, who knows!
BTW, your height is considered average in the USA, so no need to worry...
