Book tips (not Twilight or Gossip Girl plz)?

I'm looking for books to read during the summer... It can be a mystery novel, thriller, horror or maybe romance, if it's not cheesy. I don't like books that are unrealistic so preferably something you can somewhat relate to.

btw I'm 19, if that makes any difference =)

Try Impulse by Ellen Hopkins. All of her books are amazing and kind of gritty, but they're all pretty realistic and definitley not cheesy. If you want a good thriller try Salem's Lot by Stephen King or Promise Not to Tell by Jennifer McMahon.
 
I got done reading the book Fallen by Lauren Kat last week and I LOVED IT! I can't wait for Torment (the second book in the series) to come out in September!
