I got my braces off today and now my gums are really swollen. I can feel them puffed up in my mouth. Its very uncomfortable, especially when I brush my teeth. Would it be ok just to use mouthwash until tomorrow? (that's when I go back to the orthodontist.)
Is it normal for them to be swollen like this?
Is there anything else I can do to relieve the pain and to make the swelling go down?
