Brand New 2010 Challenger R/T? or Used 1999 Dodge Viper R/T10 (with 44,ooo Miles)?

Title pretty much sums it up. I'm wondering whether or not to buy either car, Normally I'd say "WTF kinda question is that, Viper all the way!!!" but seeing as how its gonna be the first car I buy, my self (im also not rich, just worked my ass off and saved up) I'm wondering what the better buy would be. The Viper will send the insurance guys at my throat and the gas prices will send me back to taking the bus lol but its my dream car, but also 44,ooo miles could mean the car is unreliable. So perhaps the challenger would be a better buy? Also just another thing to factor in, im a college student and only 21. But anyways some realisitc advice would be appreciated on which one to get? I'm also pretty responsible, but as with anyone, its hard to imagine responsibility when it comes to the Viper lol.
 
You should really consider the new 2011 Mustang. It is cheaper than the Challenger, lighter, faster handles better etc...

Anyway, if you want to keep your choices limited to these two go with the Challenger. It is a much more practical car. A viper is stupid expensive to maintain and repair. Here is 1 example. The hood alone costs $17,000. I could keep going with rediculously expensive parts but that should stop you in your tracks.
