I have a brand new Honda GCV160 that will not stay running. I can get it started and it fires up and runs for about 30-60 seconds - then starts to sputter and dies - it's never run and was doing this right off the shelf. Have to let it rest for 20 minutes before I can get it to fire again but always the same result. Doesn't matter if I'm cutting w/ propel engaged, cutting w/o propel, or just standing there with it idle. Doesn't last more than a minute.
I took it to a local, licensed Honda small engine dealer/service shop who claims they had it up and running for 30 minutes with no problems - I bring it home and same old problem. Fired right up and died after a pass across the lawn. Same thing 20 minutes later standing in the driveway. New fuel was added (inc'l stabilizer) so it's not bad gas.
Any ideas before I take it back to the shop and call BS on them?
