Bright orange light on front of large, silent aircraft traveling N-NE over Caro, MI

3/18/09 about 9:25PM? No other FAA lighting observed. Any thoughts about type of aircraft?. It was large or low which is uncommon as not usual flight pattern for large low flying aircraft in the area.
